January's book is The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab. Copies of the book are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk.
In The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, in 1714 France, a young woman makes a bargain to live forever and is cursed to be forgotten by everyone she meets. Thus begins Addie’s extraordinary life, a dazzling adventure that plays out across centuries, as Addie learns how far she will go to leave her mark on the world. But everything changes when, after 300 years, Addie runs into a man in a bookstore who remembers her name.
February's book will be Wandering Stars by Tommy Orange. Copies of the book will be available at the Circulation Desk in early January.
Wandering Stars traces the legacies of the Sand Creek Massacre of 1864 and the Carlisle Indian Industrial School through three generations of a family. It considers the fallout of colonization and the forced assimilation of Native Americans in a story that is by turns shattering and wondrous.
